The cosmofil concept
The best way of introducing the cosmofil concept is probably to explain what it is not.
cosmofil does not:
- Offer language courses or language tuition home-stays
- Operate package holidays
- Rate accommodation based on the standard of facilities offered
Hence, we’re not a language school, a travel agency or an industry watchdog.
Here’s what cosmofil is about:
- People – specifically the quality of your hosts and the people you meet during your holiday.
- Communication – in the language of the countries you visit, even at the most basic level.
- Fun – using a foreign language learnt at school or in Adult Education classes.
- Travelling with an open mind– learning about other cultures.
- Spreading the word – promoting foreign languages learning.
So why is cosmofil different from other companies promoting a more responsible and respectful type of travel?
Not only do we encourage tourists to communicate in the local language, we actually provide them with a real opportunity to do so in a friendly, relaxed and authentic environment.
