The cosmofil company

We realise that cosmofil differs from conventional business models followed by most other travel and tourism organisations, but cosmofil is no ordinary company! For those of you who would like to know more, here are some frequently asked questions about us:

How does cosmofil make money?
At this stage, cosmofil is a labour of love and does not make any money. Registrations are currently free and we do not take commissions on bookings. Our initial targets are based around ensuring we have enough quality hosts in our database on which we can build a solid community from which hosts can benefit.

How will cosmofil survive as a business?
We are exploring potential business models that will enable us to run cosmofil as an on-going service. Sponsorships, partnerships, advertising and introducing administration fees for value-added opportunities for hosts are all under consideration, as well as grants from the European Commission and other organisations promoting foreign language learning. There will though always be some free listing opportunity for hosts on cosmofil.

However, we believe that community is our biggest strength and cosmofil could not exist without our friends' support. If you believe in the cosmofil concept, please help spread the word by introducing your friends to us.

Is cosmofil a registered business?
Yes. cosmofil was registered as a limited company in October 2006. Registration number: 05978256
