Domaine Du Petit Bois

Description of accommodation and area: Set in a large park in the heart of Burgundy, near Couches, Le Domaine du Petit Bois is a renovated 17th-century manor house with links to the wine-producing tradition of the area. It is a delightful property decorated with taste.

The Cosmofil experience: Lydie knows the Couchois area like the back of her hand, and will either recommend routes or personally take you for walks adapted to your fitness level, sometimes accompanied by her donkey! There are two mountain bikes at your disposal, as well as a swimming pool with variable strength current, a badminton and ball games area and a French bowling ground. Other sports available nearby include golf, tennis, riding and an acro park.

Lydie will direct you to historic sites that tell the story of Burgundy’s rich past and to some local “caves” where you will taste both the lesser-known Burgundy wines, as well as the world famous “Grand Crus”. She will give you a list of all the festivals taking place during your stay and if you share her passion for antique markets, she will take you to local “brocantes”.

Language support: Lydie has recently started learning English and although she is making swift progress, she feels more confident in French. In this rural area, there are few Anglophones, so you will have many opportunities to practice your French. Lydie will be happy to give you all the support you need. She is planning to offer a Walk and Talk program in the summer.
