Description of accommodation and area: Ca'Del Sole, although set in a densely populated area, is surrounded by acres of environmentally protected natural forest,with luscious pine, chestnut and oak woods, in a green hilly area of natural and historical interest. On the outskirt of the small town of Appiano Gentile, the family-run country house is strategically situated at the centre of the Como - Milano - Varese triangle, at about 16 km from Lake Como.
The Cosmofil experience: I am an experienced language teacher and artist and I would like to share my skills with people interested in visiting the area and getting to know its history and culture and learning its language. I love the idea of opening my house to guests and sharing my passion for languages and art.

Activities: COURSES AND WORKSHOPS At Ca’ Del Sole we aim to offer a wide range of leisure short courses and three-hours workshops run by local tutors and guest artists. Under their guidance guests will learn new skills and have the chance to unleash their creativity, while creating some unique crafts or pieces of art. The hosts: Lori is an experienced language teacher and teacher trainer. She lived in the U.K. for years teaching Italian as a foreign language. She is a qualified TEFL teacher as well. She speaks fluent English and Spanish and a little French. She qualified as an interior designer at National Design Academy in Nottingham. She has a diploma in Art and Design. She has attended painting workshops at Tobias School of Art Therapy in East Grinstead. She’s currently expressing her creativity through painting, silver jewellery-making, stained glass work and mosaics.
